In 2000, Chris wrote: "We have worked with web-services for the past
two years, and they have done a great job for us. They customized
their ShopPlus Cart to enable us to securely sell mp3s, and have continued
to develop our application into a world-class e-commerce web site.
If you can describe a feature you want to add, they can realize it
and help you implement it. Their service is timely and their prices
are reasonable- I highly recommend Web Services."

And now, over 5 years later, eFolkMusic is a non-profit organization as defined by Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. I sit on the Board of Directors as the Webmaster and I am developing a backend for our artist-members to manage their music, allowing them to upload their albums without having to send in a physical disk.
Chris' comments (Feb 15, 2005):
efolkMusic has been extremely fortunate to have connected with Lynda Postal and Web-Services.org for the past seven years. We are consistently pleased and amazed at her expertise in creating and continuing to improve efolkmusic.org. Our site is not a simple retail or informational site- our needs to securely deliver and track our digital content (MP3s) as well as physical merchandise are quite complex; Lynda has risen to every task and achieved our objectives in a timely fashion. I can't recommend her highly enough.
Many people label Steve Jobs a visionary for developing a working digital music delivery system in 2004- too few people know that Lynda Postal and efolkMusic developed and implemented our "Digital Music Distribution" application in 1999, delivering single and bulk sales plus tracked promotional distribution- and you can rest assured we spent millions less than Apple for our programming! This was and continues to be groundbreaking work; Lynda couldn't go to the web (as many developers do) and find code to copy- she was among the first developers to successfully implement such an application, "inventing the wheel", so to speak, and making it work for our artists and users.
efolkMusic is a nonprofit organization, and I also must thank Lynda for going the extra mile and volunteering her valuable service. Her loyalty to our mission has made us what we are today.
